There's no other good alternatives at QB because this staff does not develop QB talent very well. This has been occurring for the last 5 years.
Truer words have never been spoken.

In the hallowed halls of the LSU football department, learning has not occurred. For instance, remember when RP was the be-all/end-all QB who would surely take LSU to the promised land? Remember what we had when he was kicked off the team? Remember poor JL's freshman year, thrown to the lions? Remember then when JJ took over and things got a little better, then got worse and stayed that way at the QB position for season after season? Then in his senior year, remember when JL was returned as starter and for the first 7 games, the LSU offense seemed to be revived? Then, remember what happened when *CLM's fondest dream was restored and JJ again became the starter? Offensive game began to suffer... Then remember the 1/9 JJ debacle show?

And then came the Mettsiah, the starter who was going to lead LSU to the promised land. But with Rivers and Bolden on the bench, getting no game-time reps - all rests on Mett's ability to lead the team - only he's not doing much leading. Is that because of him? Do we blame the suspect OL or butterfingered WRs? Injuries, in spite of all that hyped depth at LSU? Or is it because of *CLM's lack of creative offensive imagination and/or lack of ability to utilize the available talent he's recruited and got on the team? Is somebody stuck on stubborn or stupid?

I just think the status quo stinks at QB and somebody or something needs to light a fire under this current HC of LSU and get him to begin taking steps to develop ALL the QB talent LSU currently has. Before the whole season goes down the drain it's currently heading for.

And that's a memo.
