Itwas that he refused to make changes within his staff that needed to be made and it cost him. I am the BIGGEST Les Miles fan in the world....but my biggest knock on him is that he tends to be too loyal to things that impede the ability to win or that have no bearing on winning. I hope he can shake this loose and make the right call....we need a HOT OC. Where is the next Bobby Petrino ( sans problems)?

seriously, you are going to compare Dinardo (who I liked very much and think he did MANY good things for LSU) to Miles!!! Wow, other than the fact that Miles has won every year, 2 sec's, one nc and won more games against top 25 teams than GD won total, I guess they are the same...

He had a defense that did not work. He refused to see it.

He had a DC that could not create a defense that worked. He refused to see it.

He ultimately lost his players because they stopped believing in him to make changes and get things right.

Arrogance and failure to respond and adjust.

Seriously, secman12....please read my original post. The ONLy comparison I am making is that they are both too loyal to staff.

Dinardo's downfal was that when he lost coordinators, he could not replace them with equal or better coaches.

Les has consistently made changes with his staff. And, lest you forgot, he actually hired Krapthorpe as the OC, who subsuqently got diagnosed with Parkanisan's one month before the 2011 season, so he gave the job to Stud for continuity. Stud than was the OC for a team that went 13 - 1 and steamrolled everyone with the exception of Alabama. When exactly was Les suppose to make a change at OC?

Same could be said of Cholly......even though Coach Pevey was a great man (and coach).

Most head coaches are stubborn. It is how they got where they are. I see you point though. Dinardo dumping Reese, then bringing in Tepper and sticking with the obvious mistake, was the beginning of the end.
