The opening like makes me feel better. I get the goal is to get even money, but those guys pour over so much data, trends, etc. Something just seems off at LSU -4.5. If the line looks funny, I assume they know something I don't.

They probably see USCe is 1-17 in their last 18 against LSU, with the lone win coming in 1994. Then, they see LSU almost never loses back to back games. It has happened once under Les, and it took miracle on Markham II to happen. This one is at home and LSU has its back against the wall. USCe is unlikely to play as well as they did last week...it's human nature to have a let down after a big win, especially for a program that isn't used to being in this position. All of that adds up to LSU being favored. The betting public will determine the final line though.

this is my thought. They would get heavy action on USCe as a pickem...instead they put us at -3....no need for that if the point is to get 50/50
