I thought he peaked pretty early. I used to read everyone of his, but I was so not into The Chamber.

I wound up reading the Rainmaker years later, but that's the last one of his I read.

His books seemed to get more trite and formulaic as he went on and I stopped reading him too. He does have some talent but it largely gets wasted when he is trying to write a bestseller that will be turned into a movie. One that I really liked, though, as an audio book is Playing for Pizza. Not your standard Grisham novel.
