Its totally believable that some evil business interests would have 2 USSC Justices assassinated so his buddy and evil Republican no doubt, will appoint replacements that will rule in favor of the evil business interests in a lawsuit that will allow said evil business interests to rape the land and "exploit" people. There are ways to make a story pro environment and even anti oil exploration with out being biased and far fetched.

Turow is > Grisham...simply for that book then and of course Presumed Innocent which is better than any of the assembly-line Grisham books.

I did like this one, and the one based in Italy with the semi-pro football team.
The Summons was good as well.

I've only read 5 or so of his books, but I really enjoyed The Street Lawyer and haven't seen it mentioned in this thread. Enjoyed King of Torts too but it's been mentioned.

A time to kill is still the best....I still haven't seen the movie because I think it would just tick me off.

That's where i disagree. He comes up with a good conspiracy idea but he puts his political agenda over everything else. He writes some good action, but I'm sorry, TPB was so implausibly stupid, I can't give him credit for being a good writer.

The Pelican Brief was way overrated, I agree.

That's crazy. I read the book before the movie came out. That shite was awesome.
I was around 15 or so, so my politics meter was kinda down at the time I guess.
