Al Farouq must improve
quote:
Last season New Orleans Hornets Coach Monty Williams accepted that Al Farouq Aminu needed time to learn his system and making occasional slip-ups would be unavoidable. But starting with this week’s training camp and going into the regular season, Williams said he doesn’t plan on being as understanding.

I actually think Aminu will be ok. He still may never be starter material, but the addition of Anderson will take the pressure off of him to be a perimeter shooter and focus on the few things he's good at.

I hope him being the 5th option will alleviate some pressure. I was hoping to see improvement from Aminu in the Olympics but he was the same player that we saw all of last year.

Yea the fact that we have more offensive weapons will help his game. Even if he's coming off the bench he wont be a main option because guys like Rivers and Smith will be on the court at the same time.
Also if Davis plays good defense in the paint (like we expect him to) it will allow for someone like Aminu who has the length and athleticism to play very aggressive defense. I think you will see Aminu take a huge leap in his defensive game this year.

Essentially if he screws up now, burn him alive. Trade the ashes to the Raptors. They'll take any trade.
