Dirt bike for tall teenage boy who's never ridden, but is fearless?

Looking at a Honda crf150f? Thoughts? Fearless can be good, but mostly bad, when you're talking about teenagers. Don't want him to be bored, but get used to it before moving up. My husband is in a tree in Mississippi, and there is one for sale near me that looks good. Need advice.

What is his age, size, weight and experience? The 150f may get old for him pretty quick, its pretty much the same power as an 80cc two stroke. Does he want to ride tracks or trails? Want to get into racing or just recreational?

He's 17. 6'1". Tall and skinny.

He would be to big for the 150f. Get him either a 125 or a 250f.

That would be great! You can also help my 10, 12, and 14 year olds with their homework. And take out the damn trash! Also, smells like a dead rat in the crawl space under the house that I'd love to get rid of before Sunday, but I'm sure not doing it!

a 2 stroke bike is a beast for a newbie. Just sayin. Maybe try him out on a 250 4 stroke enduro?

125 is bigger than 150? Sorry, I have no idea. S.O. doesn't even have cell service (I hear that's a prereq for deer camps?) but I don't want to miss this if it's an awesome deal.

Oh. No. But I'm afraid that if I explain, it will lose it's...mystique. Better to leave it open. But not THAT open.

There are all different kinds of cc's for bikes but the main for his size and age are 125 and 250 two stroke and 250 and 450 four strokes. The 125 and 250f (the f is for four stroke) are comparible in power where the 250 and 450f are comparable in power. I just saw where you said he had no experience so the 250 and 450f are out and like someone said earlier a two stroke is harder to ride so I would go with the 250f. You never did say what type of riding he would do, that makes a big difference. Track or trails or just to put around the field?

He will want to do whatever is fastest and scares me the most. Always has. But he is pretty smart and fairly responsible.
