Cameron Robinson | 6-6/335 | OT | Monroe (La.) West Monroe
Ranking: No. 1 OT | No. 2 overall
Robinson is an elite offensive tackle and he is the total package at that position. He plays light on his feet, he has long arms, he is a strong run blocker who can get to the second level while holding down the edge to protect his quarterback's blindside. Not many project better than this young man.
Marlon Humphrey | 6-0/174 | CB | Hoover (Ala.) Hoover
Ranking: No. 1 CB | No. 4 overall
Humphrey picked off a pass against South Panola in the 2011 season opener and he did the same this year late in August. He is rarely tested, but when it comes his way, he makes plays. He can cover, he has length, he can tackle, and he knows the game.
Leonard Fournette | 6-1/210 | RB | New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine
Ranking: No. 1 RB | No. 6 overall
Fournette is a running back who has been known for years in Louisiana, but he hit the national scene a year ago. He is a big back with some speed and power. He can catch the ball out of the backfield and he is known for getting stronger as the game progresses.
Sony Michel | 5-11/205 | RB | Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage
Ranking: No. 2 RB | No. 8 overall
Michel is like a living legend in the state of Florida. He ran for over 1,500 yards on the varsity level when in eighth grade and he is one of the best in the country. He is coming off a torn ACL and things are going well. He runs with a mix of grace and power and can break the big run from anywhere on the field.
Gerald Willis | 6-4/260 | DE | New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr
Ranking: No. 2 DE | No. 9 overall
Willis is a very active defensive end and he has shown he has the ability to play the run and get after the quarterback. He has been known to over-pursue plays and be a little too aggressive, but he has improved in that area this season. He is strong at the point of attack and he has active hands.
Laurence Jones | 6-2/210 | S | Monroe (La.) West Neville
Ranking: No. 3 S | No. 12 overall
Neville puts Jones on the opposing teams best receiver right now and he is a strong cornerback on the high school level, but he projects as a safety on the next level. He is a very physical player with great ball skills. He is very explosive.

now all we have to do is lock up Louisiana air tight and this will be the best recruiting class ever
Posted on 10/3/12 at 8:55 am to BayouHeat0414
Tony Brown no. 3 and Ed Paris no. 12. I would say if NSD were today that both would sign with LSU.

LSU/Bama battle for at least 3 of those. Not sure on Hootie, but he's a DB so I'd be surprised if its not 4 out of 4.

almost all la. players will have bama high since lil nicky coached at LSU. that is not really a big deal that they are in top 2 or 3. recruits that are not ready to commit need to look at other schools or they might as well commit today.

2014 is going to be a fantastic class

In those 3 it's more than just Nick/ LSU/flirtation. Willis's brother is at Bama. The Fournette battle has been well documented. Cam is far from automatic to LSU. It's a legit knockdown drag out between LSU/ Bama.

I really hope we get Cam Robinson. Tackle is the most important position in the SEC and to get the best one in the country would be huge.
Posted on 10/3/12 at 9:42 am to nugget
Cam on left. Shawn King on right. King was a DT in the NFL and one of the largest humans I've ever seen. Cam makes him look small.

A couple weeks ago hootie said he was only focusing on 2 schools. LSU/ bama

I get your point. we were aready in great shape with robinson and now that he is at west monroe we will be very, very tough to beat. LF, with all the backs they are taking that increases my confidence that we will get LF. willis is the one that will be difficult to read. will he go with his father (LSU) or his brother. hootie, we have diarse helping us and that is a BIG plus.
yes, these guys are ranked in the top 25 in the country so you are going to have to battle to get them. We look to have ADVANTAGES in the recruitment of them all.

After the summer camp in 2011, we were supposed to have had a big lead for him. We also continued to recruit him heavily. What has happened to close the gap?

It's 50/50 right now. Long way to go on this one.
