I guess I was completely wrong about City/Dortmund. I didn't recall the thread title but a few days ago said I thought City wouldn't have that much trouble getting through this group.

Dortmund looked really good. Their finishing wasn't sharp but they were extremely impressive in their pure effort and hustle together as a complete team. The strategy to flood the midpitch and keep the ball from Silva's and Nasri's feet and make Garcia/Rodwell the guys that have to break you down with accurate longer balls is only as good as your attacking players willingness to run like crazy for 90 minutes.

It also reveals that, so far, Garcia/Rodwell don't really pass any better than De Jong with the huge downgrade of not having De Jong's ability to free other players though destroying counter attacks.

That Toure looked like he was hardly at 50% fitness, walking and limping around made it even more effective.
