Martini---where did you get the banjo burner an ng jets?
Also have ng built in grill and charcoal pit. Use both. Love not having to worry about a low propane bottle other than crawfish boils.

My neighbor ordered us both one. I'll find out but I'm sure Goodwood Hardware could order it or that jambalaya place in Gonzales. Damn name slips my head now. I'll think of it.

Krazy Kajun?
I actually emailed their sales guy about a NG stand and burner when this thread got started as its something I've been meaning to get. Haven't heard back. I'll try again tomorrow.

Just emailed Krazy Kajun again. I have several of their pots and have been very pleased with them.
I'll update when with a response.

Natural Gas is only going to give about 1/2 the BTU as propane in same style burners..
For boiling crawfish with Natural Gas you need this.

That's it except my grate is stainless.

Yeah. A couple of buddies have them and their stands are looking pretty rough after a couple of years. Stainless is probably the way to go or whatever that high temp paint is.

I've got a charbroil commercial grill on my back porch hooked to natural gas. It very convenient. My only bitch is it will not get over about 450 deg. Which is fine for burgers, dogs chicken and whatnot. Not so much for steaks and stuff you want to cook at high heat. Not sure if it's a grill or gas flow issue.

You don't want a burner near your house, better using lp bottle.

Kajungee--where did you get that thing? Did you build a stand?
To OP sorry for hijak--I agree with some of the others, gas is convenient but I wish I could get my gas grill hotter. I use that charcoal for steaks.

The problem with natural gas is not that it doesnt get hot, it comes in the home about 1-1.5 psi, which is not enough pressure for quick boiling, you can boil but it will take 4x longer than propane. also on a fishing trip I stopped at the pierre part hardware store and they have plenty of natural gas burners and such
Posted on 10/7/12 at 2:13 pm to jerkyboyz
Nah. You can rig them to get boiling almost as fast as propane. I dun seen it.

Bought DCS NG grill with ceramic rods for heat retention/distribution. Hot hot hot. Best NY strips I've ever cooked. Seared and charred on outside and medium rare on inside. Won't ever go back to propane. Also bought NG burner (bayou boiler.com). Claims to boil crawfish pot in 15 minutes. We'll see how it does.
