I was definitely worried something like that was going to happen.

Homeland has done a great job at figuring out what viewers DO NOT want to see happen and doing the opposite. I really haven't been disappointed with any of the decisions the show has taken.

Yeah me neither, although some of the directions have been silly, like the Brody warning text to Nasir when he was in sniper scope (lame).

I'm interested to see the other plot lines unfold.

We all agree that the daughter is about to be destroyed.

What about the Wife/Mike/Brody/Carrie love rhombus?

Pretty sure that Carrie and Brody will resume their romance at some point, the producers have hinted at their chemistry being undeniable and that story will continue to be developed. Jess and Mike have come close to hooking up again, especially after Mike found out Brody cheated on her.

The mole?

Well the mole is still out there, and I'm not sure what direction the show will take us down that path to his/her discovery. The producers might not even know where they want to take it yet.

Mike/Drunk Soldier Lauder (sp?)Investigation

Lauder is essentially a poor-man's Carrie - he knows something is going on but his "handicap" keeps him from being taken seriously. He might play a role in outing Brody to the non-CIA world most likely, but will he die before the truth is out there? Mike is now "looking into Brody" and thinks he works with the CIA. Brody didn't before but he might soon.

Mike?

He kind of seems sketchy to me. We don't really know anything about him. Why did his 1st wife leave him? The producers have directed us to see a likeable family care-taker, but does he have a dark side? Maybe he's just there to play off Jess and the romance angle... IDK. I think he could be hiding something.

New Guy (Peter Quinn)

This clown comes out of nowhere. No one has ever heard of him, but he comes in guns-a-blazin' and people seem to take him seriously. Carrie questioned that she hadn't seen him once in 10 years. Estes without hesitation injects him into the situation, and we have learned throughout the show that Estes is trying to advance his career and is tied closely to the less-than-moral Veep.
