Years ago I went almost daily to a diner for lunch that should have been condemned with no inspection, just a look at the exterior. The folks that ran it made some bad-assed food and cold beers for your thirty minutes. It was the first place that I had a meatball po-boy at, no other place has ever lived up to that flavor.
