It just doesn't make any sense.. This sport makes unreal amount of money.. why put this poor quality out on the field.

because the fans keep paying to see it. If fans boycotted a couple of games, both at stadiums and on television, this issue would be quickly resolved. The owners and networks only understand one thing... money

Because they can. Remember when there were replacement players ? That was before the electronic age. No fantasy football ? No internet wagering ?

I'd like to see a show of hands of how many of you will boycott the game and all it's sponsors. That's the only way the owners will get the message. And they know the fans don't have the guts to do it.

As I mentioned Monday, my colleague Peter King reported that the difference between the NFL and the refs' union is $3.3 million a year. Well, there are 256 regular season games. The NFL could have the real refs if it forked over an extra $12,891 per game.
