I have not been since I was a teenager, but have fond memories and have heard the trails are nice and the campground clean Same with me. I'm probably going to make a trip this fall for nostalgia. Lake is drained currently. The dam on the lake is the one that almost failed during Isaac. The 300 acre lake now covers only 70 acres (none left near the bank/ pier areas) and dropping daily as they are still pumping it down.
Local news showed footage of it 2 days ago. Not a fishing option anytime soon.
