Most are people who got rich and famous at a young age and therefore never matured past that age. In essence, they know they have far more than they deserve and they need something to cool the guilt of it. That's the basis of it, but once a culture is developed, those who enter it becomes a part of it, either just to survive or, being vapid, stupid people, because they actually believe this shite.
