Yet Ohio state will never be on par with the powers in the SEC again

I will concur never is a strong statement, but we have had this discussion since 2007... whether it was your 'lock' first rounders, how you were not worried about USC blah blah blah.

You guys have been a cut below for years now and when lucky enough to stumble into the big game that has been demonstrated with painless ease.

But congrats on beating Cal by a score!!!!

In what way is he wrong?

The elite athletes in the country come from the SE, texas, and california. Why would they ever want to go all the fricking way up to Ohio to play in the cold ever again. Everybody is on TV now and many of the SEC schools are close in size to Ohio State. You'll still get your upper midwestern kids, lineman, and the like, but you will never get the consistent stud athletes that the SEC powers, Texas, or california schools will get. You'll still have a ton of fans, go to rose bowls and the like but you will never compete year in and year out with the best of the best.
