So the highest recorded decibel level at the Superdome is 119. The highest recorded decibel level at TS has been 125-130. Tiger Stadium wins on the empirical evidence. All of the rest comprises anecdotal accounts heavily influenced by emotional bias, etc.

except that the Dome was only measured on the field during the 3rd quarter

lack of data doesn't equal a victory

I sit lower in TS than I do in the dome, and the dome is louder IMO. Big Ben agrees with me too

Right. But if I am taking the Tiger Stadium side of this argument, I can confidently state that Tiger Stadium has higher recorded decibel levels than the Superdome. Meanwhile, if you were taking the Superdome side of the argument, you would have to contend that there were some other unspecified point in time when the Superdome noise levels exceeded 119 decibels on the field...even though there are no measurements or other empirical data to support that contention...and even though that contention is based entirely on your own subjective experience of the Dome, which is influenced by bias and emotional factors. That's all I'm sayin'.

In any event, this topic isn't all that dear to me. As long as everyone acknowledges that TS is the loudest venue in college football.
