They beat every team that could've possible been a contender except for Okie St.
The gumps just proved that they could win at least one game in a two-out-of-three series, but there was no third game.
You got the better end of the deal. Lose at home? Lose the division? Lose the Conference? No biggie play the same team again... even up the series... win the national title. You got in on media hype and got the title on a technicality.

God this genro guy is an idiot. Congrats, you won the national championship, but that's not the point of this thread. The point is ESPN is the reason you were in that game. Your schedule wasn't overly difficult last year, and I guarantee if it were auburn or Mississippi state in that exact same position As yall were, Oklahoma state gets in Over a rematch. It is undeniable, but I don't expect anything more out of you than 21-0.

You're being willfully ignorant of the facts and using the results of the game as justification. No one in this thread is arguing that Bama won. However, that has no bearing on whether or not they deserved to be there. You're using the outcome of a decision to justify that decision, which is intellectually dishonest. Especially in this case, since everyone is debating the rationale of the decision, not its outcome. Regardless of outcome, the rationale of the decision was flawed due to Bama's media darling status and Saban's campaigning.
