These are only from one of our cameras, the other is a POS and took like 1,000 pictures of raccoons the first night then died. Haters can hate all they want, high fence is where its at.
Last year/this year pic. He will be 4.5 this year, next year he will be a monster

Those are some amazing bucks.
HF hunting is not for me, but I don't knock others for it. To each his own.

Wow, those are some nice bucks. How do y'all decide when/which one to shoot?

How else do you manage the land?

Watch the Hit List on the Outdoor Channel. They have so many cameras out, that they name every deer and actually make a 'hit list' for the season. They are free range though.
That takes way too much fun out of it for me. I put a few cameras out, but I want to have some surprises in the woods.

Not worried about it. High fenced pretty much out of necessity, everyone around us was/had bad neighbors to our only open side. With the amount of money and time we put into our management program, it only makes sense. We shoot anything with less than 8 points at 2.5 yrs old and pretty much anything under 10 at 3.5. We have some shitty 10s we consider cull bucks, those are judgement calls. We are only going into our 7th year under high fence so we have let all the "breeders" live and die on the ranch to let them breed as much as possible. I think this year is the year we start taking some trophys in their prime. We dont sell hunts or anything, this place is strictly for my dad, brother and I (and guests) to enjoy.

What area are you in?
How many acres?
How many hunters?

They've got a deer farm in Youngsville right off the highway with a huge buck like that. I'm thinking about going shoot him one day also.

South Texas. 600 high fenced, 100 low fenced adjacent to us. I enjoy hunting the low fence (mainly because there are no rules to what you can shoot) just as much as the high fence. I also killed an aoudad out there on Easter day a few years back. Still have no clue where he came from. We have killed some damn nice deer out there. I'll find some pics of some low fenced deer we killed and post.

Don't listen to the haters, beautiful deer. Sometimes it is necessary to protect your investment. Now a couple hundred acres high fenced is a little unfair but when you have thousands of acres I believe it's ok.

They have more African animals roaming around Texas than they do in Africa.

My dad own the ranch, so the only people allowed to shoot inside the fence are my brother, him and I. We let family and friends shoot the culls/freaks which are nice bucks in most anyones book. No pay hunts or anything like that.

I'm not here to rag on you dude, those are some beautiful deer. But I just couldn't be proud to kill one of those bucks knowing that it was essentially "trapped" on my land.
But that's just me.
BTW, did y'all buy any breeder bucks, or are those native bucks? If they are native, that's some impressive genes!
