What's the best place to put a duck blind on a pond in the marsh? North side?

How big is the pond? Actual pond size or NASCAR pond size?

Well, i try to put it on the southeast side. North winds in the winter make ducks come into the hole from the south, so they aren't looking at your face when they're trying to commit. East side so you're facing west, putting you in the shadows in the morning.

This calls for a MS Paint representation of Pond and surrounding area.

I imagine a gif with the Nintendo duck hunter dog laughing at your pond size

You really need a north wind blind and a south wind blind depending on the size of pond.
You also do not want to be staring directly into the rising sun on blue bird days so be aware of the position of the sun.
