Pete Carroll Says LSU Poked Mike da Tiger with Cattle Prods
quote:
Nope actually he says

quote:
They were poking him with a cattle prod or something as we were walking by."

Depends how you read it. "or something" to me implies they poked him with a stick or object of some sort, and Pete thought it might had been a cattle prod.

That didn't keep Carroll and his teammates from being intimidated when they played in the den of the LSU Tigers, walking onto the field by the school's mascot.

Carroll's quote:
"That thing scared the pie out of our team," Carroll said. They were poking him with a cattle prod or something as we were walking by. It was horrible."

#1 There was never, is, and will never be a "they" next to Mike's cage AS THE VISITING TEAM IS WALKING BY. And BTW, why was the U. of Pacific team "walking" by? shouldn't they have at least been trotting when they were announced in pre-game introductions?
#1A. The LSU cheerleaders have never been given "prods or sticks" to "poke" a 700 pound tiger. That is not what cheerleaders do.
#1B Even if that was even remotely true, a "cattle prod;' or stick would not fit in the little tiny holes in the outer shell that surround Mike's cage !!! The only thing that might fit would be a straw maybe?

#2. The Top Ten LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and the Athletic Department handlers would """"""""" N E V E R """""""""""" and have never allowed such shameful activity by anyone.

#3. Pete Carroll out-and-out MADE THAT UP. He is an absolute piece of skunk rectal refuse unborn mucas membrane regurgitated possum afterbirth.

#4. His team (also the 'Tigers') lost to LSU that night in 1972 31-13.

#5 He can go rot in the 13th ring of Hades.

They never used cattle prods. They used a spray bottle with water in it. They would spray from the back of the truck. Tigers, and all cats, are not big fans of water. So when he was sprayed he would roar. Never were sticks ever used. That is from 1st hand experience.

Pete is still a tool!
