Or perhaps, it's people wanting to get back to their daily routines/lives. I'm still without power. Already thrown out at least 200$ worth of groceries.

I guess it's easy to bitch about us "complainers" when you have power

Got that right.
I know that being without power sucks, but what I can't understand is how shocked people act that it takes more than a day or two after a HURRICANE to get all the power restored. Unless you work for the power company, you have no idea what is broken to cause your power to be off nor do you know what it will take to fix it.

Hmm. Curious. I needed to go to the grocery store on Sunday, but I waited because there was a hurricane supposed to hit. Perhaps you should have prepared for the storm instead of thinking it would be not big deal?

I understand that sometimes things happen. My brother had a freezer full of Tuna and Snapper. I have a generator and deep freezer. He brought his stuff to me. I'm willing to bet someone you know has a generator and you could have brought your cold items to them to keep. A little planning goes a long way.

I got power in Hammond back last night. But once again, I had prepared for the storm. So I spent the last two days watching TV with fans and a window unit running because I accept that hurricane sometimes periodically happen in SELA and have chosen to prepare for it. Had I not had a generator, I have friends and family that do. I also had friends and co workers that had power offer to let me stay, take a shower, or whatever. If you try, I mean really try, you can make do with nothing more than a little inconvenience.
