Can anyone tell me why we flooded? Im hearing that Lake Ponchartrain over filled, but was it due to some of the new levees?

quote:No, the levees are not to blame. The storm came onshore southwest of N.O. meaning SE winds pushed water into the lake. Then NE winds off the back side of the storm then pushed the overflowing lake into LaPlace. Unfortunately, the track was "perfect".
