Player safety and protecting the integrity of the the game. Those are the two things Goodell always spouts off when asked about his heavy handed tactics. Those are also the two things that will be undermined by using these replacement refs. This is an absolute disgrace. Goodell is an incredibly petty man. They're saving pennies here and spitting in the faces of the fans and players.

THIS. I know a lot of people who don't watch the NFL because they get turned off by all the stupid things that go on. Obviously they are making enough money to not worry about the people who are starting to hate the NFL but it is definitely growing. If it wasn't for the Saints, I would just watch college football. Also on that note...
