Anyone else a big Peyton Manning fan on this board?

I think Peyton is the greatest football player to ever grace a football field. Is there anyone else on this board that shares this opinion? I saw no threads on Peyton's near-perfect quarter yesterday and thought I might be the only one here that cares about him.

No one gives a shite about the preseason. I think workaholics like Manning are good for the game, and I'm glad he is back this year.

I like Manning. I don't think he's even the best QB to play the game.
Technically, he's the best. Between the ears, no.

Like sbr2 I don't put a lot of stock in preseason games. Although his stats were impressive he's still adjusting to the Denver offense and the new cast of receivers. That and his passes don't have the same zip they used to. Close, but he's lost some of the zip.

Any reason for your emphatic response? Don't give me championships because it is a team sport and he had an awful defense for his entire career except for 4 games during the 2006 playoffs. And it is a team sport regardless. One player does not make a difference.

People who say this are ridiculous. Eli has had an exceptional defense that Manning never had and a far better coach. The same team that Peyton took to a 14-0 start and the super bowl went 2-14 without him.

No I dont think hes the best football player or quarterback to ever play the game
And no youre not the only one that cares about Peyton Manning, its just not front page news for whatever reason

None. He went to Super Bowl 19 in 1984 in his second year, but lost to the far superior 49ers who sported a top 5 offense and a top 5 defense. Never really came close again because he had zero running game and zero defense to support him.
