You are referring to comments he made on TV during the LSU-Tennessee game last year and you are leaving out that he said it is due to the pass rush. He doesn't just do it for the hell of it when no one is around him.

The fact is that J-Lee himself knows the back foot bailing even when the rush isn't even that close is an issue. He says his Dad harps on it with him ALL THE TIME. That is documented. It's not something folks are making up as an issue.

Yet even though he acknowledges it, he still can't get past it. That he manages to throw as accurately as he does despite it is pretty surprising.

Personally I don't think he can develop past where he is now with that issue, and it's tough to see him overcoming being as he's known it's a problem for as long as he has.

I hope he can get past it. I really do.

Unless they embarass LSU in some sort of way I always want our players to succeed. And JL has certainly not done anything that I know of to emarass LSU. I hope JL proves me wrong.

When it come to LSU...LSU is more important to me than being right in a discussion on an internet board.

why do people insist on bringing up JL's footwork? As if every other quarterback in the nfl has perfect footwork, release, and everything else or they stink.

Not to be contentious here, but as long as Lee is able to make the plays and complete the passes, how much difference does it make what he does with his feet? Isn't this like having a mechanical flaw that one devises a workaround to compensate for? Like a weak-armed outfielder who tries to position himself to be running forward when he makes the throw?
