I went for a ride today in a buddy's Allison 2003. We ran up and down the river today at 89 on my GPS and still had 1600rpm until WOT. He claims he's topped out at 104 with this motor and 109 on the previous one.

To any of you who get the privilege of playing/fishing on one of these all the time.... I'm jealous. From a guy who spends most of his time offshore, where 50 is flying, the idea of running 100+ is awesome.

Just had to share. Drinking ML at the bar now.

No thanks. I'm happy at about 65.

Yay! Just what we need on the water: a redneck in a speedboat doing 100 mph!

We held a conversation at nearly normal voice levels. The boat rode very smooth at that speed. I was pleasantly surprised.

You must have girl shoulders. Mine tops out at about 5. I have to slow down when I get to No Wake Zones.

I joined the club yesterday. Mainly just something to get around the duck ponds with.. but I'm excited about it.

One-day, if I get hooked, I may get a nice one and try fishing a lot out of it.

We had a 20' bullet with a 2.5 mercury on the back. The fastest I have gone is 99.3. Just couldn't break 100.

2 of the other boats riding with us were bullets. There seems to be a lot of fun ribbing between those two groups. A lot of brand loyalty there. Seemed like the Allison was sleeker and a little quicker, but the bullet was more of a true bass boat.

Definitely lots of brand loyalty when it comes to bass boats...i hate the way allisons look, but they are fast, i don't have the want to get in one again...any water with a foot chop or more and those boats will beat you to death

No thank you. No need to go 100 in a boat. My basscat goes 79.8 and that is fast enough.

I went last weekend and will be making a trip to falcon in December and a few more there the rest of the spring.
