I dont think thats as much of a factor as people think. Steroids dont make you see the ball better, they just give you more power behind your swing. Felix struck out 12 today, steroids wasnt going to help those players catch up to those pitches. Granted maybe some of those pop outs would've been homers, but its hard to argue the lack of roids in baseball has lead to better pitching. I think a lot of it has to do with the expanded strike zone umpires have now.

And, IIRC, there were more pitchers busted for juicing than batters--which makes sense because you use steroids to help you recover from workouts faster, and part of being a successful pitcher is being able to go back out there on the mound and perform at a high level day in and day out.
