I wouldn't take that at face value. Plus Patt wasn't exactly a Maester. We switched from the Watch to a Wilding in Books 3 and 5. I really can't imagine a different temporary POV that wouldn't be towards the Wall.

I know Pate wasn't a Maester persay but it was a Southern POV.
Books 1, 3, 5=Northern
Books 2, 4=Southern
So following that pattern wouldn't 6 be Southern and 7 be Northern??
