Also, saw this gem on the IMDb board
. Probably one of the most Crackpottiest of Crackpot theories I've read.
Ned Warging?

HOWEVER, it's possible that Ned warged out of his body at the time of his death. We know that all of his children have a certain amount of warg to them (Bran being the strongest) and we know that wargs can sometimes flee their bodys on death and inhabit a new one. And who do we know who was at Ned's execution? Barristan Selmy. In book five IIRC he admits to attending Ned's execution in disguise. It's interesting that in his discussions with Dany Barristan Selmy keeps trying to paint the Starks and Baratheons as good people even though they were usurpers. And in book five we've got the part where "Barristan" muses about being in love with Ashara Dayne at the Tourney of Harrenhall. Well we know that Ned was in love with Ashara Dayne at the Tourney. Could Ned have warged into Barristan Selmy's body and gone to Dany in order to get revenge on the Lannisters?

They need to put the pipe down.

That is some straight crack pipe level stuff.
Also, did Martin ever specify were they buried Robert? I would think as long as it wasn't impossible to get to, couldn't Thoros and Baric have tried to capture his body so as to resurrect him? Would be pretty bad arse.

If the direwolves were the spark that triggered the latent ability, then Rickon's been warging since he was two. Just how badass is he by now?
