Was just rereading one of the House of Black and White chapters in aFfC.
So the first faceless man would kill slaves toiling in the mines of Valyria who asked for freedom (to be killed). Arya says, "he should have killed the masters." The kindly man responds, "he would bring the gift to them as well...but that is a tale for another day, one best shared with no one."
Is this to mean that the Faceless Men are responsible for the Doom of Valyria?

A lot of people think so, it is even listed on a wiki of fire & ice as a possiblity. Which makes me wonder if Daenys Targaryen(I?) was a member of the Faceless Men?
During the War of the Usurper did Ned have possession of Ice? If so how?
