David Benioff and DB Weiss interview regarding 8 seasons

Good, that's perfect. I was concerned about the final two books. They've got a lot to fit in, so I considered that they would be as heavy as ASOS. I'm guessing this will be the layout total

Season 1: A Game of Thrones
Season 2: A Clash of Kings
Season 3: First 2/3 of Storm of Swords
Season 4: Finish up Storm of Swords, first 1/4 of AFfC and ADwD
Season 5: Finish AFfC and ADwD
Season 6: First 2/3 of WoW
Season 7: Finish WoW, and 1/3 of ADoS
Season 8: Finish series

Definitely agree with your layout there, OM. I think D&D are going to wrap-up 4 and 5 by the end of season 5 since they are considered to be the 2 "boring books" of the series (I'm curious how they're going to approach Dany's story in ADWD, considering how it reaches its peak in Astapor in terms of her being a 'badass'). I think 8 seasons is perfect for fitting in everything that will happen in TWoW and ADoS...they'll both be like ASoS on steroids I'd imagine (assuming Martin doesn't troll and say he can't finish it in 7 books and needs to write an 8th book).

ETA: I think there's a great chance that TWoW will be out by season 6, but no way ADoS comes out by the time season 7 rolls in.
