Does anyone have any thoughts (or have seen anything written about) whether the fact that Jon was burned fighting the wight puts a crimp into the R+L=J theory?

We talked about this a couple weeks ago, and I linked to a thread on the westeros forum. I'm of the impression that it wasn't so much Targaryen immunity to fire that kept Daenerys from being burned as much as it was the blood magic she learned from MMD. Other places in the books it sounds like she's not so immune.

Thanks for the info! (and thanks to all who provided feedback). It appears it had to be some combination of magic that kept Danny from being burned then. Maybe from the magi lady being burned and the dragon eggs being in the pyre and maybe even a little from Danny being a Targ played into it some kind of way.

Looks like the possibilities for Jon are still wide open then, even given his rather precarious position at the present time.

I hope whoever they cast as the Red Viper, since he will only be in a few episodes, is a really recognizable/almost A-list name...just to add weight to the awesomeness of the character...I have a hard time envisioning what his face looks like myself, so hard to spit out names as examples, but I picture a man, average build to lean, avg or even slightly below avg height, with age apparent in his face, but still moves like a cat...think Jason Statham-like (Dare to dream) but more Mediterranean, like Oded Fehr or Cliff Curtis . Pics in the links are old, so age more apparent now

Or am I off in picturing Dornishmen like Middle-Eastern/ South American in appearance?

also -

was trying to find the name of the hedge knights I referred to in the Brienne broken-knight scene and found this tid-bit that I wasn't aware of...(the last part, that is)at The Citadel:

quote:

Ser Shadrich of Shady Glen

Brienne of Tarth comes across Ser Shadrich escorting a merchant on the road to Duskendale. When speaking with him, she discovers that he too is seeking Sansa Stark, although he is hoping for the reward. She also realizes that he knows that she is on the same search, so she leaves his company as quickly as she can. Later, Ser Shadrich is among three hedge knights that Littlefinger takes into his service.
