The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
I think it may have been you earlier in this thread that suggested LoLL to me. I finished it last week. I wanted to thank you for the suggestion. It took a while to get going, but I was very into the book after the half way point. My only thing was that I really have no desire to read the next novel. While AGOT had a conclusion, there was plenty left making you want to read. I felt like LoLL didn't end that way. The story came full circle at the end.

Yeah, Lies is a pretty self contained story, you can almost just read it as a single novel. And honestly the second book is a bit of a let down anyway, it's kinda like comparing AFFC to ASOS. Not a bad book, just doesn't hold up to Lies. I am eagerly awaiting book 3 whenever he gets done editing it however.
And you're welcome for the suggestion, always happy to give book recs. It's how I find most the new authors I read myself.
Now I just need to get some folks to actually read Joe Abercrombie. I barely ever run across folks who've read him (outside of say the westeros board and people I've let borrow his books), and he rocks.
