I killed Toonces (Spinoff from the "I fixed Toonces" thread)

Lets talk about something besides TM7 for a while.
So the reason LSU likes
over
is
A) Because they spent a lot of money on it
B) It's a lot easier to reproduce due to its simplicity
Both are true.
Well i cant get them their money back (even though they should ask for it). My solution to the other problem was to try and recreate the fan favorite with the simplicity and color schemes of Toonces.
Thoughts?
I made these quickly so they would still need to be touched up here and there.

Thats the exact LSU purple they use in their logos. Also you might be seeing a change in the original color due to changing formats several times.

I would agree with you. The point was to make a logo that was in between what the fans want and the school wants. Its obviously going to be worse than what the fans want. Thats what compromises do.

The purple in the first pic looks significantly darker than the old with new pic.

Just tried to fix the color and i believe its an issue of not having the correct color. My GIMP (the program i use) just matched the closest color it had.

I don't see how toonces is any easier to produce due to its simplicity. It has the same complex and small shapes as the logo you posted (which is a simplified version of the helmet logo)

I don't mind the new logo you posted. This is the one that I don't like.
