I just love how all of a sudden it became necessary to have an 800cc fire breathing 4x4 with 32" tires 100hp and 15" of ground clearance. Like all logs got taller, all mud got thicker, and all rides got longer.

If you want a big badass bike just say you want it. By all means get what you want. Don't let somebody talk you into it on the basis of needing it though, unless you really truly do.
