I'm asking the MSB because I already know the whole rant thinks he's going to be in the HOF, but I'm trying to get an honest opinion.
I live in Dallas and I'm worried for him because the sports stations here are acting like he's going to step in and be Deon Sanders, hell they were asking him if he wanted to play reciever
I think he is going to be an extremely solid CB for many, many years; but I don't think he's a guy who's going to make freakishly incredible plays that get him a ton of publicity, I just think he's going to be really really solid. Whats the MSB's opinion?

Rookie corners all get burned. CB is the hardest position to adjust too

I will just put it this way. He played on a better D last year than he will be this year.

Haha yea, their secondary was AWFUL last year, that's why they are expecting so much from him I think

This, he'll have some growing pains this year and somewhere in year 2 it will start to come together.

TRUTH. Almost every single game the Cardinals won last year was because of what Patrick Johnson did on special teams, I think he had a return TD in each of the first 5 games we won, but he was terrible at CB. He could tackle but he couldn't cover to save his life.

In Peterson defense he started to get better at covering towards the end of the year. In college he really relied on being the best athlete on the field and no told him that doesn't work in the nfl

He did get WAY better at the end of the year but the first 10 games or so were just painful to watch. He was my favorite player at LSU and now he plays for my NFL team and it hurt seeing him get abused. That being said he was our team MVP last year because of his special teams play. Without him returning the ball we would have had 5 wins MAX instead of 8.

Mo has better hips than Peterson but it's still a notoriously difficult transition.

Mo does but Patrick has 2 inches and 40 pounds on Mo. Its not gonna be easy for Mo but I wish him the absolute best.

I'm not sure the extra 40 lbs is a plus when it comes to coverage skills and Mo makes up for those 2 inches with wingspan.

He will break the interception record, not by rookies but all time.

This, given his level of athleticism and natural ability he'll be a good corner, just probably not year 1.

That seems to be the perception in Dallas

i think he'll have a better season than another great Dallas #24, Everson Walls, did as a rookie (and his was a record-setting season for a rookie); i hope he doesn't end the season like Walls did, though

Yea because he was way better than the guys he faced, I think he's going to be great, but he's not going to make the crazy plays guys like PP and Cromartie make (he'll be better in coverage)
