Haven't played it, but I thought it was well-received at the beginning. What went wrong?

This is what went wrong and I am going to put it in every day life usage for you.

Wake up in the morning stretch and go to under lock the door.

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

Exit your room and go into the bathroom

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

Exit Bathroom

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

Go back into your bed room to get changed

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

Go back out your bed room

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

Head to your front door and open it.

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

Get down the drive way say hello to your neighbors. Open your car door.

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

Pull up your GPS and choose your location. You get there instantly, you exit your car.

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

You walk towards the building entrance from the parking lot and open the door.

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

You enter the building go to the elevator and enter it.

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

You arrive on your floor and exist the elevator

(loading screen depending on how fast your computer or net is)

You are now on your floor, feel free to get into your cubicle to get to work.

And that was just one of the problems.

Not to mention the comical, identical, nondescript "orbital stations" at which you have to dock in order to travel between planets once you have a personal ship.

Watching Solid Snake smoke a cigarette for 20 minutes prior to each act of Metal Gear Solid 4 was more tolerable than this game's constant need to slow you down and bore you into playing a better game.
