Maybe Jones is still in his "fight 3-4 times each year" mindset. Most champs after a couple of defenses start GSPing it.

You can have one of these guys get the shot, have Gustaffson fight the other winner and you even have Lil Nog on the bubble for a fresh match up.

MMAWeekly top ten LHWs:

1. Jon Jones

2. Rashad Evans (Jones beat already)

3. Dan Henderson (will fight coming up)

4. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (Jones destroyed already)

5. Lyoto Machida (Jones finished already)

6. Phil Davis (not ready yet)

7. Alexander Gustafsson (not ready yet)

8. Gegard Mousasi (too inconsistent)

9. Ryan Bader (Jones already finished)

10. Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante (wrong organization)

there's not really anyone else out there for Jones excetp Gustaffson

Well in his defense, he's had some bad luck with injuries.

I read that Shogun said he'd like a fight with Anderson. That is definitely something I'd love to see. Shogun at 185 would be pretty interesting.

I've been wanting to see Anderson/Shogun at 205 for awhile now.

"[Chael] speaks so much. Fighting him would be a pleasure for me. I respect him as a fighter but he does have a too much big mouth. I would like to face Anderson. He is the best of all times but I only would take him as a light-heavyweight. I can't drop to the middleweight division,” (Shogun quote)
Shogun would only fight Anderson at LHW and I don't think Anderson has any plans at moving to LHW to fight someone.

The UFC will also be using a ref cam for this weekends event

I don't have a link but this picture might be hinting Chael Sonnen might be fighting Rashad Evans next
If they do fight I see this as a terrible matchup for Chael. Rashad has great wrestling and I think could stop Chaels wrestling for the most part and get a tko or decision victory.

I could see Rashad dropping to mw if Jones beats Hendo.

I can also see Chael moving up to LHW easily. I think he dropped like 40 pounds before the Anderson fight last time

This is also the most absurd fight I've seen in my life. a fighter gets choked unconscious at the end of the round. The ref lets him get back up for round 2 and then the fighter who got choked unconscious comes back to win by knocking the other dude out with some ground and pound. LINK
That's amazing that the fighter can come back and get the win but this just sickens me the ref, doctor, and the fighters corner allowed him to continue to fight.

"Rashad? I dunno. Personally I haven't talked to Rashad. I've heard the talks of him wanting to go to 185 or possibly going to 185. I dunno. If he did, he'd have to fight somebody," White told Bleacher Report. "Maybe you do Rashad vs. Weidman and the winner of that gets a shot. You know what I mean? That just came off the top of my head."

I remember when Bones broke Vera's orbital bone with that elbow. That's when I became a Bones fan.

Yeah that might be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. Pretty sure that an appeal could overturn that one though

But seriously, it can't be any worse than their third fight

I think that was the most disappointed I was in a fight that I was looking forward to

Also, Machida weighed in at 201, Bader might be significantly larger during the fight.
