Never watch thrillers in the day time. Especially ones that take place in dark night time settings. I mean unless you're wanting to kill the mood and atmosphere.

Watch lighthearted fair during the day like comedies.

Really all movies should be watched in total darkness where the only light is what's reflected off the screen if you truly want to appreciate the cinematography. But some movies especially so like thrillers, horror and anything black & white.
