Mike mauti - mike lb at penn st- would you approve of his transfer

This team and it's chemistry, after just listenin to les, seems to be a solid and cohesive unit. Mauti has a year left and his talent and skills could only make our stacked d better. Do you think miles and the players would accept his transfer if he decided to come back to la?

Pretty sure he played out his eligibility (unless he got a medical redshirt or something).
ETA: Looks like he has some eligibility. I'd take him. Good kid, beast of an athlete, Lester Earl hates him so that makes it even more of a reason

I went to school with the guy so I would love to see him come and play at LSU, but I don't know if he could adapt to the system fast enough during the short amount of eligibility he has left

Why the frick does there have to be 137 different threads about the hypothetical of having PSU players transfer to LSU. We are a top 2 or 3 team in the country preseason with arguably the best defense in the country.

He's a nagurski nominee. Hes a smart linebacker, evidently coached when he was injured. I don't feel strongly towards either way. I think it would be interesting fodder to see what the team would say in the event he wanted to come and play

I would not mind it, so long as he had to compete for his spot as a starter. I would hate to see him walk in, start, and suck. Since we are dealing with being a part of a system, that is totally possible.But I would love to have him if he can be competitive, contribute, and wants to be here.

No one coming from penn state in august would see the field for LSU. Focus on the players we have. They are quite the talented bunch.

That said, the most likely outcome is that he wouldn't make it. I pointed that out when I said something about working into a system. However, if Mauti could elbow his way into a position, why deny him? College athletics is a privilege, not a right.

Is he Ex Saint Rich Mauti's kid? If so he does have La roots and he went to PSU cause that's daddy's alma mater. He could help us.

The point of the whole argument .. What would the players do if he wants to come? He's an all American, smart and talented linebacker ... From Louisiana. If I were on the team wanting to win a national championship and repeat as sec champions, I would be hard pressed to reject anyone of that caliber from playing with me. With that being said, I wouldn't want to mess with the cohesiveness of the team this late in the game.
