That was taken Spring 08 after the national championship season. Notice the logo. Also they spray the field to kill out the ryegrass so the Bermuda can grow without competition.

lsu should start a new trend to represent south louisiana by using st aug grass as turf. 
obviously, that wouldn't work, but it sure would look good at the beginning of the season.
