Sorry, but in the asian community DBZ is one of many similar looking/themed anime series, but in the USA it stands out really nicely among the anime we have, and the Faulconer music just will never get beat in how it accents its unique place.
I equate the transition to this "new" music to transitioning from the Hanz Zimmer music in the Chris Nolan Batman to the old Adam West "bam, pow, smack!" Batman music. That's what the new music reminds me of.

Faulconer's music really makes watching DBZ that much better. Like Tigger said, it really makes DBZ stand out among the rest.
