i have a question regarding the movies not being "canon." if the movies are to be considered completely separate from the series, then how do you explain the garlic, jr saga?
piccolo directly references the dead zone. so that movie had to have existed. so is that movie canon but the others arent?

The Garlic Jr. stuff was filler and not in the manga. Not canon.

The only canon that needs to be associated with that movie is a special beam canon that destroys every copy.
