I'm really starting to convince myself that Gordon didn't receive a max offer from Indy or Houston and got desperate with PHX. He goes all in with them via comments and they make max offer.

Seriously, go look at mac's video. They rolled out an orange carpet and plastered "cornerstone" all over photos of him.
