I was never into Dash. Guess I need to check them out.
Actually, I never really heard much Cowpunk at all at the time. I couldn't afford to buy records, and little of their stuff was played on KLSU (forget the other stations). "Looking For Lewis & Clark" got played on MTV (and was a top 20 hit in England), as were "Watusi Rodeo" and maybe two or three Scorchers tracks. I specifically recall hearing "Lost Weekend" by The Beat Farmers precisely once on KLSU. They were not IDed, and I didn't find out who had done the song for 15+ years, long after Country Dick Montana had died.
