Yeah that's the problem. Our spending has always equaled our sales plus our property profits...except for last summer, the first with new management. Tough to know if Wenger just didn't like anyone for their price or if the funds weren't made available. You know I'm optimistic about our spending in the summer, regardless of whether we get bought/miss the CL, but that's just based on a hope that Kroenke isn't directly siphoning off funds, but rather waiting to cash in on an increase in valuation.
On paper, we're much better set up to survive lack of CL than 'Pool was when they lost out. This should be the first summer we retain all of our good players and definitely have money to spend. Plus Santi, Poldi, Giroud, Monreal will all further adjust to the PL, our young players should continue to improve, etc. That said, who knows what these board issues will do and who knows what will happen to Wenger if we get bought...

That is a massive question in this entire buyout scenario. Don't we have 99 million to spend and losing some of the debt weight wages would just add to that number. If we make top 4 I think we make the two biggest signings in club history dollar wise. If we don't, we make one really big one. If we are bought out, money talks ala City and all bets are off.
