Did some googling to figure that out. Unfinished business
Unfinished business
Unfinished business
and about 50 other sites. As objective as I can be...this theme makes no sense.

It's what Barkley said when he announced he was coming back to school.

I guess he means winning conference and going to BCS bowl but hopefully not losing to a 6-7 ASU is foremost in his mind.

This really isn't LSU related. Should be on the MSB. That said, ASU started last season 5-1, then tanked. They got worse while USC got better, and SC ended the season by destroying the de facto PAC 12 South rep 50-0.
I'd like to see Barkley realize his potential. Can't wait for the season to start.

A whole lot of Oregon/USC versus LSU/UA talk for sure. I always hope all the clubs play their best ball and see how it pans out. We'll see.

I am with you on that one. I think UO/USC in the PAC and LSU/UA in the SEC will decide those conferences. I think Texas wins the Big 12 this year and Michigan wins the Big 10.
Looking forward to seeing your new QB play also.
I think if CLM lets him loose, you'll have a real weapon there.

Yeah, I really like Hoke. I think Urban is going to have his hands full with this guy. The B12 champ, well their best team last year had a D ranked 100+ so I don't know about them. Regarding Zach, he looked like the real deal in the spring game so I'm really looking forward to September UW and AU games when he's not wearing a green "don't touch this guy" jersey. Partly to see how he does and partly, as you rightly said, has CLM given the OC the green light to make those throws.

This. I hope that the experience in the BCSCG vs Bama has changed him a little, with respect to tactics. LSU has the potential to have a great running game with 4 or 5 really good backs, but you've got to know that if you throw the ball downfield well, it can make a good running game GREAT.
Another one of 2012 mysteries I can't wait to see unravel.
I think we may have inadvertently made this thread about LSU again.

It's TR so that's cool. Regarding his tactics we may never know till he writes a book after retirement. JJ has always had zero pocket presence and was never a passing threat. Lee was actually the highest rated QB in SEC. The problem in the 11/5/11 game wasn't so much the two picks he threw, it was the 'deer-in-the-headlights, completely bewildered look he had...imo. CLM counted on him and it didn't pan out. The million dollar question is why not give Zach a shot, along with JJ after 11/5 game. Like I said, have to wait for the book most likely. Done deal now though.
To be honest I'm looking forward to the Oregon/USC game almost as much as the LSU/UA game. Thomas and that white QB (can't remember his name) are two of the football fastest kids I've seen in a while. USC will be their biggest test. It seems with the Trojans the biggest concern, aside from focus every game, is keeping the guys healthy. If both happens I have a feeling the PAC12 CCG might be a play in for the BCS CG.

I always liked JL, and it was obvious he had a big arm. I am not sure he ever got over his FR year though, when people were crucifying him over his interceptions.
Pete Carroll's Trojans were guilty of that lack of focus sometimes, but Lane Kiffin (and I am as surprised about this as anybody) is doing a very good job of keeping his team sharp.
Injuries happen, inevitably. One of the biggest knocks on SC is lack of depth. We've only got one scholarship FB, for instance.
Kiffin showed last year that he wasn't afraid to start young, inexperienced players. He may have to burn a red shirt or two this season if SC sustains a few injuries, but he's bringing in a pretty good crop of recruits, and they all want to play right away anyway.

SC would have won the South last year, but because of sanctions could not play in the title game. They can now.

It's the losing to a 6-7 ASU that makes the 'unfinished business' a little odd.

If you followed ASU, you’d know they were 6-1 (with a win over SC), then 7-2 before injuries and other issues took a big toll. They spiraled down the latter part of the season, losing their last five in a row. If you followed SC, other than as an LSU fan, you’d know they were very young and were like a train slowly picking up steam throughout the year. Take off the homer glasses just for a minute. USC finished #6 and return 18 starters. Fight on!

While Texas was not the best team in that conference don't be surprised to see them shine this year. Their defense was in the top 10 last year and I'm pretty sure they returned most starters. If they can get a decent pass out of their QB they should be really good with their RB bowling over defenses.
