need help from my TD homies re: LSU's income from football

I need a good link or some info.
At the barbershop this morning, some fool who hates LSU said that the school makes no money from football because all the revenue goes plowed back into football. He said no money goes from football into education. I told him he was full of shite but I didn't have any sources, just what I think I know.
Give me some help. I hate that dude and I want to show him up.

Why is the bar even being discussed here?
Anyway, its ridiculous to suggest that such a high-income football program doesn't pump money back into the education. Sounds like the guy you were talking to is an idiot, so why do you even care?

5% of the gross annual athletics income is given to the university each year in terms of an auxillary fee.

I don't have a link but have seen that the athletic department gives well over $1 million back to the University in addition to the money it pays for the scholarships.
Not only does the athletic department give to the univeristy, it takes NO money from the university or the state of Louisiana and is one of the few schools in the country that is entirely self-sustaining.

They give 5% back to the school, and just increased it in the last year or so I believe.

Also, the athletic department pays for GBFTL members' scholarships.
