How much are they? Has anyone got one before? I think I hit the end of the road trying to get my boat registered.

You know him personally?

If the boat is worth the trouble, I've heard you can sell it to somebody in Ms, have them register it there, then sell it to you and transfer the registration back to La. This is something I've heard, not 100% it will work.

I read on another board that MS is cracking down because of stolen boats. one guy had a game warden inspect his boat 3 times before it went through. But about 3 years ago I registered a boat here with no paperwork except the forms from the website.

Well that aint happening today. They are truly worse than the DMV. its 7 200lb+ (less one lady) women sitting around doing hardly anything. They lady I spoke with today was so rude to me, that I almost called her out on her horrible hygiene and obesity. They are clueless of the necessary requirements that I needed to register my boat. Each one told me a different set of criteria (after calling 4 times), and said it was up to her "supervisor" to approve my case. When asked what they base their decision on, she said, "I don't know its up to her". God bless you if you ever have to go there.

We know your pain.
My son won a boat last year & we still haven't gotten the registration completed. The last time we sent it it took them 4 months to tell us it had to be notorized

I always feel lucky when I get the packet back and they have approved everything. Cannot believe I have heard nothing from the buyer of my old boat.
Maybe he just made up numbers.
